LYNN – Furious that he couldn’t get into an under-21 event at St. Michael’s Hall on Saturday, a drunken Lynn man allegedly threatened to assault two doormen and later shattered a window of a police cruiser with his feet.Kyle Matthew Ramsay, 27, of 33 Nahant Place, #2, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, knife, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, shod foot, malicious destruction of property over $250, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, threat to commit a crime and assault and battery on a police officer. He was arraigned Tuesday at Lynn District Court by Judge Albert Conlon, where he was ordered to pay $200 cash bail. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for March 17.According to court documents, police arrived at St. Michael’s Hall at 61 West Neptune St. around 7 p.m. on a report of a man with a knife causing a disturbance. They found a doorman holding Ramsay against a fence. Ramsay was allegedly slurring his words and asking the doorman to let him go so that he could assault him.Police say Ramsay had several cuts on the top of his head that were bleeding, along with bloodshot, glassy eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. The doorman told police that Ramsay had tried to get in to the event without showing an ID and the two ended up wrestling after Ramsay became angry and threatened him with a knife. Another doorman helped subdue Ramsay until the police arrived.When asked by police what happened, Ramsay allegedly threatened to kill one of the doormen and began kicking the cruiser after he was handcuffed and arrested. After a few minutes of struggling with him, police placed Ramsay in the backseat of the cruiser, but he allegedly kicked the window several times until it shattered.After he was pulled out of the cruiser, police say Ramsay continued to kick the car, banged his head against it and then kicked an officer in his arm. During his booking, police say Ramsay continued to kick at the officer, so he was placed into a cell until he calmed down.An ambulance was called for Ramsay due to abrasions on his head, lower left back, stomach and hands.When asked if he was on any drugs, Ramsay allegedly nodded yes, but would not say which drugs he had taken.As he was being strapped to a stretcher while handcuffed, police say Ramsay spit in an officer’s face before he was taken away in an ambulance.
