SALEM – Four Lynn men were indicted Wednesday afternoon on separate cases involving attempted murder, firearm and narcotics crimes by an Essex grand jury.Giovanni Marquis Jenkins, 19, of 37 Jefferson St., is charged with armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, concerning an incident in the early morning hours of Jan. 1, when he allegedly stabbed a man in Lynn.The victim, Damon Emmons, 18, sustained two puncture wounds to the right side of his upper chest and a laceration to his forearm during the New Year’s assault at 272 Parkland Ave.Assistant District Attorney Michael Patten is prosecuting the case for the state.Boramy Thoeun, 20, of 167 North Common St., #30, is charged with possession of a loaded firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition and a felon in possession of a firearm having a prior conviction, stemming from an incident in Lynn last April 23 when he allegedly provided a loaded firearm to a cooperating witness.Because Thoeun has a prior conviction for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a handgun, he faces a 15-year mandatory penalty.Assistant District Attorney John B. Brennan has been assigned to prosecute the case.Julio Lopez, 34, of 55 Collins St., #3, is charged with trafficking over 14 grams of opium as well as distribution of heroin, concerning his arrest in Lynn on Dec. 1, 2010 when police say they caught him with the illegal narcotics.Noel Cruz, 31, of 16 Minot St., #3, is charged with trafficking over 28 grams of opium, stemming from his arrest in Lynn on the night of Jan. 11.
