SAUGUS – Saugus Police arrested an Everett man who was responsible for the cultivation and manufacturing of a large quantity of marijuana that was located in a storage facility in Saugus, according to Lt. Det. Giorgetti.Anthony Tortorello, 24, 8 Walnut St. Apt. #5, Everett, was arrested and charged with cultivation and manufacturing of marijuana around noon on Friday.Acting on a tip, Saugus Police obtained a search warrant for Tortorello’s storage facility located at 222 Central St. in Saugus.Based on the investigation, police seized a large quantity of marijuana from the rental space and also located several marijuana plants, a growing apparatus and associated materials for the cultivation of marijuana.The investigation is ongoing, according to police.The investigation was led by Saugus Sgt. Det. Gecoya. Assisting the Saugus Police Department in the investigation were canine officers of Wakefield, Officer Rossiconi and his canine partner Leon, canine officers of Everett and the cooperation of the Everett Police Department.
