LYNN – A Lynn teen who allegedly robbed the Lynnfield Street Market Sunday night while armed with a butcher knife, is expected to face stiff charges today at Lynn District Court.Matthew Griggs, 19, of 248 Lynnfield St., has been slapped with charges of armed robbery while masked, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, knife, and carrying a dangerous weapon, knife.Police say the robbery happened around 5 p.m., when Griggs allegedly burst into the 263 Lynnfield St. store wearing a black coat with his face covered.He allegedly ran behind the counter, reached inside the cash register, grabbed a fistful of cash and ran out, jumping into a gray Toyota with two unidentified women in it. A BOLO (be on the lookout) was broadcast to area police with a description of the vehicle, and he was arrested shortly after.Griggs also had several outstanding warrants for his arrest, including one for possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
