REVERE – One man is in the hospital following an alleged machete attack by a member of the MS-13 gang Sunday night.According to police, the attack happened around 8 p.m., at the Cinco De Mayo Restaurant, located at 124 Centennial Ave. A group of men were playing pool at the restaurant, when police say five Hispanic members of the gang approached one of them, demanding that he take off his hat since it was the same color as their gang symbol. When he refused to do so, police say the suspect pulled out a machete and sliced the victim?s cheek before running out of the restaurant.The victim was taken by ambulance to Whidden Hospital for treatment to his non-life threatening injury. Police say the suspect remains on the loose. No arrests have been made.Anyone with information is urged to call the police at 781-284-1212.
