LYNN – A father-son spat turned violent Sunday night, when the father was allegedly punched several times in the face and stabbed in his stomach at the hands of his son and his transient friend.Bowie Kester Hall, 35, homeless, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, knife; Anthony E. Sheppard, 25, of 951 Western Ave., #2, was charged with domestic assault and battery. Both were arraigned Monday at Lynn District Court by Judge Albert Conlon, where Hall was ordered held in lieu of $2,000 cash bail and Sheppard was released on personal recognizance. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for April 14.According to court documents, the 48-year-old victim told police that he had gotten into an argument with his son, Sheppard, after he asked his friend, Hall, to leave his home. The fight escalated to a fist fight, where Sheppard allegedly attacked and punched his father several times in the face. In the middle of the fight, the victim’s brother tried to intervene, but was allegedly threatened by Hall with a knife.Police say the victim’s right hand was bleeding and he had a swollen, bruised right eye and that he had suffered a stab wound to his stomach, allegedly at the hands of Hall.The victim said he managed to grab the knife out of Hall’s hands, and in the process, cut himself.Police spotted Hall briskly walking away from the home with his hands in his pockets. As he was being taken into custody, Hall allegedly shouted that he didn’t do anything and that he had been “jumped by two guys.”Sheppard was arrested after police allegedly saw him attempting to physically assault his father, while screaming that he wanted to attack him.During Sheppard’s booking, police say he banged his head out of anger against a glass window and later asked for medical attention.
