SAUGUS – The Board of Selectmen faces a light agenda this evening now that town budget talks have shifted to the Finance Committee.Only three public hearings are scheduled. Aggregate Industries, doing business at Bardon Trimount Inc. at 1831 Broadway, is seeking a special permit to allow removal of rock and soil from its quarry at Rear Broadway and Whittier Street for six months.Boscy’s Liquor, 216 Broadway, has applied for an entertainment license to operate three televisions at the establishment. Northside Donuts, doing business as Dunkin Donuts at 35 Lincoln Ave., is seeking a variance for its grease trap requirements.The selectmen have continued until June 7 the public hearing for Pamela Avedisian, who has proposed opening a restaurant at 60 Salem Turnpike, former site of Atlantic Lobster Co.Discussion of the town’s tentative budget for fiscal 2012 moves to the Finance Committee on Wednesday, when the first department head presentations are expected.Public safety-related departments ? police, fire and emergency dispatchers ? are slated to present their budget scenarios to the Finance Committee.The meeting is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
