LYNN – Two Roxbury brothers allegedly assaulted a Lynn man Monday night after they accused him of stealing their drugs.Terrance Jay Tyler, 28, of 63 Ritchie St., Boston, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, resisting arrest, malicious defacement of property; Reginald Tyler, 22, of the same address, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, malicious defacement of property. Both suspects were arraigned Tuesday at Lynn District Court by Judge James Lamothe and released on personal recognizance with a pre-trial hearing scheduled for May 20.According to court documents, police responded to a report of two black males running around with knives near Brightwood Terrace around 5:30 p.m. When they got there, they saw the 25-year-old victim running around with a severely swollen and bruised right eye. He said he had been visiting with a friend at an apartment when the two suspects barged inside and allegedly accused him of stealing a bag of drugs from them.The victim said he started to walk away from the situation, but was allegedly sucker punched by Terrance on the right side of his face, then he fell down and his face hit a coffee table. While he was on the ground in pain, Reginald allegedly punched him several more times, knocking out some of his teeth. At the same time, Reginald allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened to kill him.As the brothers left the apartment, a witness alleged that they used the knife to slash his tires and they left the area in a silver Lexus. Police caught up with the pair a short while later and took them into custody.During booking, police say Terrance had tucked a pack of cigarettes into his groin area, which was found to have two small bags of marijuana inside.
