LYNN – A Lynn man allegedly went into a jealous rage on Tuesday when he found naked pictures of his girlfriend on her phone, assumed she was cheating on him and went after her with a knife, according to court reports.The suspect, Chream Roeung, 31, of 53 Grove St., was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, knife, threat to commit a crime. He was arraigned Tuesday at Lynn District Court by Judge James Lamothe and released on personal recognizance. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for May 17.According to court documents, police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Grove Street around 3 a.m. Upon arrival, officers saw Roeung and the 25-year-old victim arguing with each other on the front porch. The victim said she awoke to him standing over her with a knife pointed at her, allegedly yelling, “You want to cheat on me? I don’t care, I’ll go to jail. I’ll kill you for cheating on me.”He denied having a knife in his hand and said when he confronted her about the pictures, she allegedly snapped at him.Police placed Roeung under arrest. The knife allegedly used in the argument had been placed in a kitchen drawer by the victim, but she wasn’t able to identify which one it was when police asked.
