SALEM – A Lynn gang member who admitted attacking a woman in her home in 2008 and also beating her and another woman during a violent attack in Salem in 2009 was sentenced to serve six years in state prison. He will also be on probation for another five years and must complete a batterer’s program and abide by any restraining orders.Raymundo Henriquez, 27, reputed to be a senior member of the notorious Lynn street gang known as the Deuce Boyz, pleaded guilty in Salem Superior Court in an agreement worked out by the prosecutor and defense to 15 indictments.Henriquez, who last lived at 10 Ashton Terrace, Lynn, pleaded guilty to attempted murder, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of intimidation of a witness, assault and battery, breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, four counts of aggravated assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of violation of a court order before Judge John T. Lu.”I have a temper problem,” Henriquez told Lu during his confession. When Lu asked him why he was pleading guilty, Henriquez responded, “I’m paying for my mistakes. I feel sorry. I need help.”The charges both occurred in Salem on Nov. 2, 2008 and on Jan. 24, 2009.Assistant District Attorney Kim M. Faitella told Lu the first incident happened around 5 a.m. on Nov. 2, 2008, when police responded to 8 Heritage Drive after receiving a 911 call by a concerned neighbor who said there was yelling coming from the home. When police arrived, they found Henriquez inside and observed a 26-year-old female with red swollen marks around her throat. The woman told police that Henriquez had accused her of cheating on him. He pulled her out of bed by her ankles, kicked her and tried to strangle her. He also took her cell phone so she could not call police to report the incident. The next incident happened on Jan. 24, when Henriquez went to an apartment at 5 Harrison Ave. He kicked in the door, went to an upstairs back bedroom and began throwing punches, attacking his 20-year-old girlfriend and the ex-girlfriend from the first attack. He also took both cell phones from the women so they could not call authorities.During the violent attack, a 6-year-old girl got in the way and was punched in the eye. As a result of the blow, the girl now has vision problems, Faitella said.
