SALEM – A Lynn man who was caught peddling heroin to an undercover police officer in the fall of 2009 was sentenced to serve 11/2 to 3 years in state prison.Adam Carroccino, 28, of 40 Rockdale Ave., Lynn, changed his plea of innocent to guilty Wednesday afternoon to a charge of distribution of heroin before Judge Timothy Q. Feeley.Assistant District Attorney Marsha H. Slingerland said she would have presented evidence at trial that police arrested Carroccino on Oct. 13, after he allegedly was involved in the sale of a bag of heroin for $100 to an undercover officer on New Park Street in Lynn.A second person, Rafael Armando-Castro, 27, of Lynn, pleaded guilty to his role in the drug sale last summer and was handed a suspended sentence with probation. The judge credited Carraccino the 148 days he spent in lieu of bail awaiting trial on the case.
