Marblehead mom gives cops a bloody time

April 7, 2011 by Robin Kaminski

MARBLEHEAD – A Marblehead mom allegedly threatened to kill her daughter and herself in a drunken tirade on Tuesday before flicking blood she claimed was HIV-positive from an open wound onto officers.Debra Wong, 52, of 22 Washington St., #1, was charged with domestic assault by threatening to kill her daughter, disorderly conduct and assault with a dangerous weapon, HIV-infected blood. She was arraigned Wednesday at Lynn District Court by Judge Albert Conlon, posted $500 cash bail and was released. She is due back in court on May 4 for a pre-trial hearing.According to court documents, police responded to a report of a disturbance on Washington Street and upon arrival, heard a young girl crying while another person yelled at her for calling the police. After opening the door, police say they found a large pool of blood inside the doorway, splatters of it on the walls and more on Wong. After asking where all the blood came from, Wong allegedly began to swing her injured right index finger around, tossing blood in every direction as she tried to push the officers out of the apartment. Wong said she allegedly cut her finger out of anger after she heard her son was arrested earlier that day. After allegedly screaming at her daughter that she was going to kill her for calling the police, Wong was arrested and had a bandage put on her finger. As she was being led outside, police say Wong pulled, kicked and screamed at her daughter, and said “Slow down for Allie!” and “You killed Allie!”Wong tore off her bandage in the cruiser and allegedly ranted about how she was going to get HIV and AIDS blood all over the cruiser and on the officers. As a result, officers placed a spit hood and leg irons on her, but not before she allegedly managed to splatter blood onto an officer. A large pool of blood gathered on the floor as she was booked, which she allegedly kicked around the room.Police say she continued her tirade on the way to Salem Hospital, which included allegedly biting an EMT, spitting at hospital staff and repeatedly squeezing her bloody finger, causing puddles of blood to form around her.
