LYNN – Two Lynn men are facing serious charges after they were allegedly caught armed with guns while yanking on the door of Little Caesars Pizza on Union Street, hours after the restaurant had closed.The suspects, Djavier Duggins, 21, of 10 Atlantic St. and Kevin O. Avelar, 21, of 110 South St., were both charged with carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, illegal possession of ammunition and felon in possession of a firearm. Both are expected to be arraigned today at Lynn District Court.According to the police, a hold-up alarm had been triggered at the 24 Union St., pizza parlor around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, officers saw two known gang members, later identified as Duggins and Avelar, pulling on the front door. When the suspects saw the officers watching them, they allegedly tried to turn and leave but were stopped a few yards away.During a pat frisk, both suspects were allegedly found to have loaded, .380-caliber guns. Avelar allegedly had six rounds, while Duggins had one round.No further information was available Sunday.
