LYNN – A Lynn woman was busted by the police on Sunday for allegedly selling beer out of her car on Henry Avenue. The suspect, Odette A. Cabrera, 51, of 7 Howard St., #1, was charged with illegally selling alcohol and peddling alcohol from a motor vehicle. She was arraigned Tuesday at Lynn District Court by Judge James Lamothe and was released on personal recognizance, with a pre-trial hearing scheduled for June 2.According to court documents, an officer noticed a woman, later identified as Cabrera, taking a bag out of the trunk of her car, which she began to hand over to a man standing next to her. However, when Cabrera locked eyes with the officer, she allegedly began to walk up a driveway on Henry Avenue, still holding on to the bag.The officer, who has made several arrests in the past for illegal sales of alcohol, walked toward Cabrera, who allegedly began stuffing money into her pockets and then her underwear. Cabrera was asked to open her trunk, where police say six bags were found, each containing 12 packs of beer – five with Corona beer and the other containing Heineken.Cabrera also allegedly hid another bag of beers in a trash can behind a home on the same street, which was found to have 12 cold Corona beers inside.During her booking, police say Cabrera had $70 in her pants pocket, a cellular phone and another $160 stashed in her underwear.
