LYNN – A known MS-13 gang member is off the streets following an arrest for allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend.Elder Danilo Palma, 19, of 207 Chesnut St., #3B, Lynn, was charged with domestic assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and threat to commit a crime. He was arraigned Thursday at Lynn District Court by Judge James Wexler and ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on May 5.According to court documents, police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Essex Street around 6 p.m., where a 19-year-old victim was found crying in the hallway on the third floor. She said she had broken up with Palma a week ago and she was with one of her friends that afternoon when Palma allegedly grabbed her by both arms and slammed her against a metal fence.The victim said she tried to run away, but alleged that Palma kept grabbing her by her arms and trying to pull her away from her friend. He also allegedly said during the struggle that he was going to kill the victim and her family.Breaking free from his grasp, the victim and her friend ran to a home on Essex Street, where Palma allegedly followed close behind. Police say they noticed bruises on the victim’s right arm, on which she had a cold pack when they arrived.The victim said she and Palma dated for approximately one year, and that during their relationship, Palma allegedly beat her up several times. She said she was afraid of Palma because of his affiliation with the MS-13 gang and that he is capable of his threats to her and her family.Wexler granted a restraining order for the victim against Palma on Thursday.
