LYNN – A Lynn woman allegedly seared her husbands neck with a lit cigarette on Tuesday after she discovered funds were missing from their joint bank account.Gail Zucchari, 44, of 52 Catalina Road, was charged with domestic assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, cigarette. She was arraigned Wednesday at Lynn District Court by Judge Ellen Flatley and released on personal recognizance with the condition that she abide by a restraining order. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for June 10.According to court documents, police responded to a report of a fight between a husband and wife. Upon arrival, police spoke to the 45-year-old victim who said he has been arguing a lot lately with his wife over finances and personal issues. Because of their spats, the victim said, he has been staying at another location.On Tuesday afternoon, he said he stopped by their home to pick up some clothes and was immediately accosted by Zucchari, who was yelling about their joint bank account and various cash withdrawals. He said he turned to walk away from her, but alleged that Zucchari came up behind him and burnt his neck with a lit cigarette, causing a circular burn on his neck.Police say they saw the burn, as well as cigarette ashes all over the collar of the victim’s shirt. Zucchari allegedly denied the assault, but admitted they had bickered with each other, saying, “the marriage is over.”The argument allegedly stemmed over the victim taking money out of the bank account, which was supposed to go toward their mortgage.
