She also joined Saffie Bangura, Tashanna Brown and Rebecca Potter on the winning 4×100 relay (52.0).Tashanna Brown also won the javelin (98-0) while Tatianna Brown won the shot put (27-0). Also winning were Elvia Sasso, 800 (3:06); Leighann Lennon, discus (70-1); Carla Altema, hurdles (18.2) and the 4×400 relay.Marblehead 70, Beverly 66The meet came down to the 4×400 and the team of Madeline Piela, Paige Ferucci, Courtney Maher, and Maura Tubridy sealed the win with an outstanding race.Winners included: Piela in the mile, Bronte Price in the 100 hurdles, Kelly Roland in the high jump and javelin and Emma McGuirk in the 100 and 200.It was the program’s first win over Beverly in quite some time.BOYS TRACKGloucester 98, Classical 43At Manning Field, Felipe Brown was a double winner for the Rams, taking the long jump (19-7) and triple jump (40-9). Jalen Brown was the other winner for Classical in the javelin (125-0).Marblehead 109, Beverly 27At Beverly, triple winner Nolan Raimo led the way for the Magicians. Raimo won the 110 hurdles (15.6), 200 meters (23.1) and long jump (20-9). Other winners for Marblehead were: Chris Neumann, 800 meters (2:10) and high jump (5-8); Danny Plunkett, discus (140-2); Josh Freedland, 100 meters (11.7); Jake Smith, 400 hurdles (62.1); James Wigglesworth, 2-mile (10:29); Nate Fowler, mile (4:56); Will Herlihy, 400 meters (54.5) and Greg Worth, javelin (145-6). Marblehead coach John Wilkens was happy with Lautner’s performance.”Lautner played a very good game in net today. He kept us in the game and made some key saves throughout the game,” Wilkens said.Lautner had 12 saves. Leading the way for the Magician (8-2) attack was: Alex Whitmore (3 goals), Ian Maag (1 goal, 2 assists), Jacob Maselek (1 goal, 1 assist) and Brian Gellert (1 goal, 1 assist). St. John’s is now 6-5.Peabody 19, Saugus 3At Saugus, Peabody had its offense in high gear with Keefer Heckman scoring five goals with four assists; other contributors included Nico Manganiello (3 goals, 2 assists); Nick Ouellette (3 goals, 1 assist) and D.J. Henrick (3 goals). Gonzalo Tolosa had 17 ground balls and an assist.The Sachems had a strong team effort despite the result. Saugus’ Shawn Gilman, Nick Taylor and Dylan Hartigan all scored one goal each. Saugus is now 2-8.GIRLS LACROSSEMarblehead 19, Swampscott 6At Marblehead, the Magicians (7-2-1) led 11-5 at the half, and never looked back. Olivia Raisner had a monster performance for Marblehead (7 goals, 2 assists). Kiley Fischer also helped out (3 goals, 2 assists). Raisner and Fischer both scored 44 goals each for the season. Meggie Collins had a strong performance (6 goals, 1 assist). Hayley Braun, Carly Robb and Tyler Phillips all had one goal each.The Big Blue’s (1-9) Katie Zarinsky had a strong performance (3 goals). Taylor Eaton (2 goals, 1 assist) and Kita Wheeler (1 goal) had strong performances as well. Samantha Coogan made 12 saves.
