The Daily ItemLYNN – The Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce will host “Economic Development Success Strategies: Three Cities, Three Mayors, Three Stories” on Friday, May 20 at the Porthole Restaurant from 7:30 a.m. n 9 a.m.Moderated by Lynn Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy the LACC has invited Mayor Joseph Curtatone from Somerville, Mayor James Fiorentini of Haverhill and Mayor Thatcher Kezer III from Amesbury to share their strategies of how their communities planned the work and worked the plan for economic development success. The LACC will be asking the membership via email to submit questions to the mayors for this forum. Time will be allotted for question and answer.”Economic development is a top priority for the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce,” says President/CEO Leslie Gould. “We expect this to be an educational and enlightening forum. These communities have used a variety of elements to develop arts and culture, industry and tourism and real estate investment to name a few to increase their residential and business base. This is a great opportunity to learn what steps other communities have taken to expand their tax base and improve the quality of life in their communities. Why reinvest the wheel and we can learn a lot.”Tickets are $20 per person, which includes a full breakfast. Tables of six, eight and 10 are available. RSVP is a must. Please call the LACC at 781-592-2900 or email the office at [email protected] or visit www.LynnAreaChamber.com.
