May 12, 2011 by Robin Kaminski

LYNN – A Lynn man allegedly stumbled home to his Chestnut Street apartment on Wednesday in a drunken haze and, during a heated argument, hurled a pair of scissors at his roommate.Augustin Frantz, 53, of 567 Chestnut St. #2, was charged with domestic assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, scissors. He was arraigned Wednesday at Lynn District Court by Judge Joseph Jennings and ordered to post $200 cash bail. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for July 7.According to court documents, police responded to a report of a disturbance on Chestnut Street and saw the alleged suspect, Frantz, walking through the front yard bushes in an attempt to leave the scene. After yelling at him to stop, the victim came outside and told police that Frantz allegedly came home drunk and began yelling, cursing and pushing her around. As she picked up a telephone to call her relative, she alleged that Frantz picked up a pair of scissors and told her to get off the phone. Her relative heard the commotion over the phone and called police. Frantz allegedly grabbed the victim’s hand as she clutched the phone and squeezed it with force until she dropped it.At that point, Frantz allegedly hung up the phone and threw the scissors at the victim’s head. Police say they didn’t see any marks on her head as they spoke to her. She denied medical attention at the scene but said she would seek a restraining order in court.
