A day after dropping a tough decision to St. John’s Prep, the Bishop Fenwick baseball team scored a big win on Sunday as it pushed across a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie with Danvers and snare a 2-1 win in Peabody.The Crusaders struck first, picking up an unearned run against Danvers starter Ray Arocho in the bottom of the third. The Falcons rallied to tie in the fourth as Scott Hovey drew a walk from Mike LaChance, stole second and scored on successive bunts.It stayed tied until the bottom of the sixth when Fenwick loaded the bases and netted the winner on a fielder’s choice. LaChance then polished off the Falcons in the seventh to complete a 3-hit gem.Fenwick’s hits came from LaChance, Alex Morsey and Chad Lessard, who made two stellar plays at first to end the game.Amesbury 6, Lynnfield 4At Amesbury, the Pioneers (9-4) had a comfortable 4-0 lead slip away as the hosts rallied to score four times in the sixth inning to steal the win.Lynnfield got two RBIs from Rick Berardino and single RBIs from Dylan Costa and B.J. Neal.Everett 7, Marblehead 0At Everett, the Magicians saw their win streak come to a halt as they were held to just four hits on the day.GIRLS LACROSSEArl.
