Marblehead man hit by car while skateboarding

MARBLEHEAD – A Marblehead man remains in a Boston hospital after being struck by a car on Saturday while out skateboarding.According to the police, a 911 call came in around 3:37 p.m., of a 22-year-old man identified as Samuel Martin of Marblehead, who was hit by a car operated by Jennifer Armini, 41, also of Marblehead, at the intersection of Norman Street and Gingerbread Hill.Marblehead police and fire, as well as Atlantic Ambulance responded to the scene. Martin was taken to Salem Hospital and later transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. His condition has not been released.Police say the accident remains under investigation by the Marblehead police and the Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction team.
