SALEM – An Everett man already facing firearm charges was arraigned Tuesday in Salem Superior Court on a new charge of heroin distribution.Oswaldo Acevedo, 39, of 57 Winthrop Road, Everett, pleaded innocent to trafficking over 14 grams of heroin, a crime that will net him a minimum mandatory punishment of five years behind bars, if convicted.At the joint request of the prosecutor and defense, Judge Howard J. Whitehead ordered Acevedo to remain in custody without bail and continued the case to June 23.In the meantime, Acevedo is held at the Essex County Jail in Middleton.Acevedo was arrested March 2 after he allegedly peddled two fingers, 20 grams of heroin, to an undercover officer on Flint Street in Lynn for approximately $2,600.At the time of the alleged deal, Acevedo was out on bail after pleading innocent to firearm charges in which he allegedly was caught in Lynn illegally trying to sell firearms on Jan. 12 and Feb. 22, 2010.That case also was continued Tuesday to June 23 for preliminary trial motions.Assistant District Attorney Christina P.
