Separate robbery-stabbing incidents injure 2 Lynners

LYNN – Police are searching for suspects involved in two armed robberies over the weekend that left victims shaken and injured.The first incident happened on Summer Street around 7:30 p.m., Saturday, where police say the victim was walking to 7-11 in Austin Square. She was approached by who she could only describe as a black male that engaged in small talk with her. Police say the suspect asked the victim for $10, and when she said she didn?t have any money, he without warning stabbed and robbed her.The victim described feeling a sharp pain in her right side and saw blood on her body. Police later spoke with the victim at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.The second incident happened around 1 a.m., Sunday, in Barry Park, where a victim was cutting through the area on his way home. He told police that he was approached by two Asian males and one black male who demanded he give them money. When he refused, the victim said the suspects attacked him, so he fought back. During the scuffle, the victim said one of the suspects pulled out a box cutter and sliced his leg.Police say the suspect went to Children?s Hospital in Salem for treatment.Anyone with information on the robberies is urged to call the police at 781-595-2000.
