Lynn police investigate stabbing

LYNN – Police say a man was stabbed in the back outside of Walgreens on Western Avenue Wednesday morning.The victim, a 22-year-old Lynn resident, said he had walked out of the 841 Western Ave. store and was approached by several Hispanic males, ages 17-20, in the parking lot.The group allegedly began to fight with the victim, and during the scuffle, he was stabbed in the back. Police said the victim’s injuries were considered to be non-life threatening and he was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Detectives from the criminal investigation division are looking into the incident.No further information was made available.Anyone with information on the stabbing is urged to contact the police at 781-595-2000.
