The Peabody girls lacrosse team’s postseason came to an early end at the hands of pre-season favorite Lincoln-Sudbury, 15-2, in a Division 1 North first-round game in Sudbury on Wednesday. The Tanners battled, getting goals from Christine Feudo and Brittany Lefave, but ultimately fell to a team Peabody coach Dennis Desroches had nothing but high praise for.”Lincoln-Sudbury is everything they are advertised as, and are as skilled a team as I have ever seen,” he said. “Their substitutes are as solid and as equal in talent as their starters.”Despite the early tournament departure, Desroches is happy with his team’s season.”I’m proud of the girls,” he said. “This season was a great experience and we got back to the state tournament, which was a goal of ours from the start.”BOYS LACROSSEDivision 3 East PreliminariesNewburyport 11, Swampscott 6At Newburyport, Sean Lannon had four goals for the Big Blue (8-11) and Chris Mason two, but it wasn’t enough.
