June 14, 2011 by Robin Kaminski

LYNN – In an alleged fit of rage, a Lynn woman head-butted her boyfriend during a heated argument on Western Avenue Sunday afternoon.Alicia G. Sullivan, 31, of 406 Eastern Ave., was charged with domestic assault and battery, and mayhem. She was arraigned Monday at Lynn District Court by Judge James Wexler and ordered held on $2,000 cash bail. A probable cause hearing has been scheduled for June 30.According to court documents, an officer on patrol in the area of Western Avenue was approached by a man who requested assistance in solving an argument between himself and his girlfriend, Sullivan. The officer agreed and met the two in front of the Mediterranean Sub Shop and said an allegedly agitated Sullivan was yelling at the victim. Sullivan’s 10-year-old daughter was pleading with her mom to stop fighting with the victim, her father, but the officer said Sullivan kept the argument up.After separating the two, the victim told the officer that he was at work when Sullivan, his live-in girlfriend, showed up and started yelling at him inside the store, alleging that he was a criminal and a drug addict. Not wanting to cause a scene, the victim said he asked Sullivan to go outside with him, where they continued to argue. He claimed that when he lowered his head and asked Sullivan to be quiet, she allegedly head-butted him in the nose. The officer said he saw a black and red mark on the victim’s nose, which also appeared to be deformed.A witness came down from her apartment and told the officer that she saw the incident happen as well and that it was unprovoked.
