Peabody defeated Lynn, 7-6, to win the Morrison Tournament this past weekend.Peabody would score first, taking a 1-0 lead after two innings. Lynn tied things up in the third.Then, Lynn added two runs in the fourth. Matt Burnham walked, and Joe Kasper (5 IP, 2 BB, 2 K) doubled, scoring Burnham. Kasper would score on a Randale Lora double.Lynn added three more in the fifth. Wilfredo Feliz led off with a walk, and Kurtis White singled to right to put runners at the corners. Burnham singled home Feliz, and Kasper then singled, scoring Burnham. Kasper would score on a single by Matt Turmenne, making the score 6-2, Lynn.However, Peabody would tie the game with four runs in the bottom of the fifth.Peabody scored the winning run on a squeeze play in the bottom of the seventh.
