LYNN – Police say a lone gunman barged into the Boston Street Variety Store Tuesday evening.The incident happened around 5 p.m., when the suspect, described as a black male, 5-feet, 6-inches tall, with facial hair and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt showed a black pistol to the store employees.”Several units responded to the scene and canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect,” said Lt. Christopher Kelly.Witnesses say the suspect ran down Barrett Street and possibly threw an object into a nearby garbage can but, Kelly said, officers did not find anything.”About $100 was stolen,” Kelly said. “No injuries were reported.”No arrests had been made as of Tuesday evening.
