LYNN – Two city men were allegedly caught drinking on Monday when an officer saw them sipping beer while taking a walk on Congress Street.Baldemar Robles, 25, of 15 Congress St., #1; Rony E. Robles, 24, of 139 Laighton St., #7, were both charged with drinking alcohol from an open container in a motor vehicle and open container of alcohol violation. Both suspects were arraigned Tuesday at Lynn District Court by Judge James Wexler. Rony was ordered to perform 20 hours of community service, while Baldemar has until Aug. 8 to pay a $200 court fee, according to court documents.An officer was in the process of taking a report for vandalism on Congress Street, when he noticed two men, Baldemar and Rony, walk out of 15 Congress St., allegedly holding bottles of Bud Light. The officer said the two suspects proceeded to walk down the street, taking sips out of the bottles, when he yelled to them, “Are you serious?,” according to court documents.Both suspects were taken into custody, where Rony was found to have two active warrants.
