SALEM – The lawyer for Peter S. Ronchi, the Marblehead man charged with repeatedly stabbing his pregnant girlfriend in her Salem apartment more than two years ago, wants prosecutors to provide a bill of particulars involving the case.Defense lawyer David J. Nathanson is asking them to turn over precise information regarding the date and time each offense was committed, the place and the precise manner and means.He also wants notice as to the theory of the first-degree murder the commonwealth intends to pursue at trial.In Salem Superior Court Friday, Assistant District Attorney Jean M. Curran told Judge Timothy Q. Feeley that she would provide the information, but explained there were “limitations” and that she would do it “the best I can.”Curran went on to say that she intends to pursue a premeditated theory and or extreme atrocity and cruelty.Ronchi, 47, who last lived at 10 Taft St. in Marblehead, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the May 16, 2009 stabbing death of his 42-year-old girlfriend, Yuliya Galperina, and her unborn son.
