Nahant forms board to find replacement for town administrator

NAHANT – Town Moderator Dave Conlin recently announced the members of the committee that will seek a replacement for retiring Town Administrator Mark Cullinan.”There are nine members, around 16 people applied,” said Conlin on Friday. “The committee is very qualified and diverse.”Town Administrator Mark Cullinan officially notified town officials Friday, June 24 that he planned to retire in November after 17 years as town administrator. This is the second time that Nahant has sought a town administrator since local voters and the state legislature approved the position in 1992.Conlin said the appointed members of the committee include Perry Barrasso, Nancy Carey, Jim Cashman, Christopher Dent, Carl Easton, Carl Jenkins, Panamai Manadee, Jennifer McCarthy and Jeff Musman.Dent was appointed by the Finance Committee, of which he is a member. Cashman, Manadee and Musman were appointed by the Board of Selectmen, while Conlin appointed the remaining committee members.Conlin said the committee would likely meet in the next two weeks.
