LYNN – A Lynn teen allegedly stabbed his father five times in a vicious rage Monday night on Fiske Lane, according to a police report. The crime allegedly happened around 5 p.m., where the suspect, Ovie Thomas, 17, attacked his 63-year-old father with a knife without warning inside their 10 Fiske Lane home. The victim, who police found bleeding profusely from five stab wounds – one to his inner left thigh, left knee, back area and two to his left shoulder – said he had just walked through the front door of his home and was walking up the stairs when Thomas allegedly came up behind him and attacked him.The victim said he managed to fight off his son and ran upstairs, where he locked himself in a bathroom and frantically dialed 911.According to court documents, the victim told police that Thomas suffers from mental health issues, was hospitalized last month and previously threatened to stab him. When police arrived on scene, they found Thomas pacing back and forth in front of the home, dressed all in black and allegedly holding a knife. When asked to drop the knife, police say Thomas complied and got down on the ground, according to court documents. The victim was rushed to Union Hospital with non-life threatening stab wounds.Thomas was charged with assault with intent to murder and arraigned Tuesday at Lynn District Court, where he was ordered held without bail until a dangerousness hearing on Aug. 25.
