It may have taken a little longer than expected, but the Gannon Silver Classic is finally in the books.The men’s tournament began on Saturday, Aug. 6, but was rained out the next day. It was picked up – and completed – yesterday, using a format of one best ball out of a twosome.The winners were Mike Marks and Jim Abernathy, who combined for 61-56-117 totals. They were followed by Tim Hall Sr.-Tim Hall Jr. (61-57-118), second place, and John Debenedictis and Scott Finnigan (58-62-120), third place.In fourth and fifth place, respectively, were Terrence Santry and Mark Hanna (60-62-122) and Bud McGonagle and Matt McGee (63-59-122).Tying for sixth were the teams of Paul Kolodziej and Steve Prendergast (62-62-124), Bob Trepsas Sr. and Dick Donahue (62-62-124), Tim Calvani and Dave Gaudet (62-62-124) and Dwight Brothers and Derrick Deluties (63-61-124).Abernathy and Marks finished with the low round on Sunday, a 56, closely followed by the 57 posted by Hall Sr. and Jr.
