LYNN – Hot dogs, hamburgers, and a few local celebrities are on the menu for this Saturday?s Lynn Republican City Committee barbecue.Stephen Zykofsky, committee chairman said WRKO radio personalities Michele McPhee, Howie Carr, Todd Feinburg and Bill Cooksey will head the list of special guests for the Aug. 20 event.?It?s a social and, of course, a political event as well for people to meet and greet with elected officials,” Zykofsky said. “But it?s also a family event. We would really like people for to bring their children with them.”Since it?s been several years since the Republican City Committee has held a summer barbecue, Zykofsky decided to arrange for a few local celebrities as a draw to get locals to attend.?Cooksey (a member of the committee) arranged everything,” Zykofsky said. “It will be a nice event for people to mingle and talk to the guests for a bit.”Zykofsky said other guest appearances include state Rep. Brad Jones, the House minority leader, state Rep. Donald Wong, Essex County Sheriff Frank Cousins, 2010 Republican gubernatorial candidate Charlie Baker and his running mate, former state Sen. Richard Tisei, former Sixth Congressional District candidate Bill Hudak and a candidate for the 10th Essex House seat, Dwight Caulfield.The event will be held at committee member John Krol?s home at 26 B St., from 2-6 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person or $20 per family.
