In front of more than 33,000 fans, the Cumberland, Rhode Island, Little League All-Stars lost a 2-0 decision to Keystone, Pennsylvania, Saturday despite a double and a fine pitching performance by Chris Wright, the son of former Lynner Matt Wright, a team coach. Matt Wright is a former Pine Hill Little Leaguer and former St. John’s Prep baseball standout. Cumberland, out of contention now at 0-2, will play a consolation game at the ongoing LL World Series later this week.
