SALEM – A Saugus man charged with enticing and indecently fondling a 10-year-old girl inside a corner store three months ago was held without bail following his arraignment in Salem Superior Court.Gajjar Jagdishkumar, 42, of 181 Essex St., Saugus, pleaded innocent last Friday to indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14, enticement of a child under the age of 16 and indecent exposure before Judge Timothy Q. Feeley.The judge ordered Jagdishkumar held without bail at the joint request of the prosecutor and defense, but left the door open for a bail review hearing at another court date.In the meantime, Jagdishkumar remains held at the Middleton Jail.The charges arise out of an incident at a local corner store in Saugus on May 18 when the 10-year-old Saugus girl said she was indecently fondled by the accused where he was employed.The victim reported the incident to her girlfriend who was with her at the time.Jagdishkumar is due back in court on Sept. 29 for a pretrial conference.Assistant District Attorney A.J. Camelio is prosecuting the case for the state.
