Lynn? City officials will hold a 9-11 Community Memorial Tribute Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in Lynn’s Veterans Memorial Hall auditorium. The event is aimed at honoring not only those that lost their lives during the 2001 terrorist attacks, but also the men and women still serving their country. The program will include tributes by Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy, City Council President Timothy Phelan and State Sen. Thomas McGee, D-Lynn, along with Police Chief Kevin Coppinger, Fire Chief Dennis Carmody, Police Department Chaplain the Rev. Joseph Rossi and Fire Department Chaplain the Rev. Michael Ferraro. Music will be performed by the Lynn School Band and soloists Emergency Medical Technician Beth Sullivan and local musician Jim Dennis. The event will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and attendees are urged to arrive a few minutes early to get their seats.? A service of remembrance will be held at 8:30 a.m. in front of Fire Headquarters, 59 Summer St.The reading of the 2,974 victims’ names of 9-11, on the Lynnfield Town Common at 2 p.m.? A service of remembrance at 6 p.m. on the Town Common, for the whole community. In case of rain, in the Centre Congregational Church 5 Summer St. The service will include bagpipers, special music, guest speaker Katherine Bailey and prayers.Nahant? The Nahant Village Church will hold an ecumenical Remembrance Service at 7 p.m. Sunday. The service will include leaders from both the Village Church and St. Thomas Aquinas Church, anthems, hymns, prayers and a candle-lighting. A community-wide lighting of luminaries will occur at 8 p.m., as homes are asked to light candles and luminaries on their front porches.Peabody? City ceremonies center around an 8:50 a.m. honor guard procession on Sunday from Foster Street to the police station on Allens Lane, followed by a short ceremony.? The police station will be open for a tour at 10 a.m., of 9-11 memorials related to the terror attacks and the response it triggered from police officers, firefighters and other emergency personnel. Face painters and a Moon Bounce will be on hand for children and all money donated on Sunday will be contributed to the New York Police and Port Authority Wives and Children’s Fund. Firefighters and police officers will join elected city officials and residents on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for a 9-11 memorial ceremony at the North Revere fire station on Salem Street. A plaque at the station commemorates Marianne MacFarlane, a Revere resident and United Airlines worker killed when terrorists flew United Flight 175 into the World Trade Center. The ceremony will be dedicated to the memory of more than 400 New York City public safety workers killed while trying to evacuate and fight fires in the Trade Center’s two towers.Saugus? There will be two events in Saugus. The Saugus Fire Department will hold a small ceremony outside of the main public safety building on Sunday at 8:46 a.m. to coincide with the first plane striking the North Tower of the World Trade Center, according to Fire Chief James Blanchard. Blanchard said a bell is brought out and they ring the “555” fire code, which signifies the fire or emergency is over and firefighters can return to the station.There will also be a ceremony at Town Hall at noon.Swampscott?
