Reading 1At Lynnfield, George Levantakis scored twice, and Marco Addonizio had a goal and two assists.Sophomore goalie Joe Bassi won in his first varsity start for the Pioneers.Danvers 6, Marblehead 2At Danvers, the Falcons built a 5-0 lead before Marblehead scored its two goals.John Amico had two goals for the Falcons, Matt Hogan had a goal and two assists, and Eric Martin two assists.Other Danvers goals came from Craig Wilson, Brian Trefery and Drew Piazza.GIRLS SOCCERFenwick 2, Williams 1At Fenwick, Williams took a 1-0 lead after a half, but Maura Doyle scored on a header off a corner kick by Becky Mercuro to tie the score early in the second half, and Rose Fantozzi, again from Mercuro, gave the 3-1-1 Crusaders the lead for good.No. Reading 1, Lynnfield 0At North Reading, neither team had many scoring opportunities with most of the game being played between the 18-yard lines.”North Reading is a strong, physical team,” Lynnfield coach Mark Vermont said. “They move the ball well.Vermont said his team was inconsistent, with moments of greatness and moments of “not-so-great” play. Vermont was happy with his defense, which played a solid game. The Pioneers are 1-2-2.
