The Classical boys soccer team shared the wealth and had five different players score against Saugus, as the Rams defeated the Sachems 6-1 at Saugus Thursday night.Classical coach Rob Upton was very happy with his team’s performance.”My team was able to jump out early on and that set the tone for the rest of the game. All my guys were unselfish today and that’s great to see,” Upton said.Classical (3-2-1) was up 5-0 at the half and never looked back. Leading the way for the Rams was Salvador Castro (2 goals, 1 assist). Yabesi Musema was more than just a sidekick (1 goal, 3 assists). Angel Canales, Ericson Rodriguez and Jesus Viveros scored one goal each.Revere 3, English 2At Revere, the Patriots started off fast with three first half goals. Freshman Mohamed Kenway scored the first goal for Revere at the 12-minute mark. Chris Santos scored at the 20-minute mark to put Revere up 2-0. English’s Kerlay Der scored at the 25-minute mark to make the score 2-1. Oscar Pinto scored a late first half goal to put Revere up 3-1 at the half. The Bulldogs’ (1-3-1) A.J Xhemalji scored a goal with eight minutes left in the game to make the score 3-2.Swampscott 6, Winthrop 2At Swampscott, the Big Blue raced out to an early 3-0 half time lead, but the Vikings did not go away quietly. Winthrop scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half to make the score 3-2. Swampscott (2-1-1) answered with three goals of its own in the next 10 minutes to put the game out of reach. Kendrick Simpson led the charge with the first two goals. Erick Verdu (2 goals) added the final goal. Viktor Simons and Dan Copland scored one goal each as well.Peabody 4, Marblehead 1At Marblehead, Peabody (3-1) had a slim 1-0 lead at the half on a John Ramsey goal. Marblehead tied up the game 1-1 in the first minute of the second half on a goal from Josh Beloff. The Tanners outscored the Magicians 3-0 from that point on. Valsi Buni, Shawn Bernardo and Thiago Gloria all scored a goal in the second half.Danvers 1, Salem 0At Danvers, Jon Amico scored about 20 minutes into the first half and the goal stood up thanks in part to some solid goaltending by Brendan Murphy, who made his first varsity start. Danvers is 3-2, 2-0 NEC North.
