Field Hockey: Thistle’s hat trick leads Swampscott past Fishermen

Tori Thistle netted a hat trick and an assist to lead the Swampscott field hockey team to a 5-1 win over Gloucester at Phillips Park on Monday.Cody Kline had a goal and an assist while Lauren Moran also had a goal. Other assists went to Alexa Steriti and Ali Aylward.Danvers 8, Revere 1At Danvers, Nicole Kamens had two goals and two assists to lead the unbeaten Falcons (7-0, 6-0 NEC North). Catie Malloy had a pair of goals as well with Nicole Pszenny; Sarah Potter; Courtney Torchia and Katherine Leonard each having one marker.Peabody 0, Marblehead 0At Marblehead, the Magicians (3-2-2) dominated the play most of the game but couldn’t find a way to get a ball in the back of the net despite a 13-2 corners advantage.Weston 5, Fenwick 2At Donaldson Field in Peabody, Hannah Bethune had both Crusader (3-3-1) goals off assists by Colleen Sears and Jen Jordan. Fenwick trailed 4-0 early before cutting the lead to 4-2 in the second half.Salem 0, Saugus 0At Stackpole Field in Saugus, Lindsey Caniff stopped all five shots she faced as the Sachems (1-2-3) struggled to get anything going offensively.
