Boys Soccer: Musima’s hat trick propels Classical

The Lynn Classical boys soccer team stayed red hot on Wednesday at Phillips Park as Yabesi Musema recorded a second half hat trick to lead the Rams to a 5-2 win over Swampscott.”We came out in the second half and caught some breaks,” Classical coach Rob Upton said. “We put the pressure on them and Yabesi really stepped up big for us.”The game was tied 1-1 at the half before the Rams (5-2-1, 4-0 Northeastern Conference/South) exploded for three goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Salvador Castro and Jesus Zizeros joined Musema in scoring for Classical.Swampscott (3-2-1) got its goals from Erick Verdu and Roman Ganchin.Salem 3, Marblehead 1At Bertram Field in Salem, Alex Carzajal scored twice and Robert Abreu added a goal as the Witches (6-2) led the whole way. Jason Alas added an assist.Peabody 2, Gloucester 0At Newell Stadium in Gloucester, Colin Mahoney recorded both goals as the Tanners (4-2, 3-1 NEC North) bounced back from Monday’s 6-0 loss to Danvers with a strong effort.Goalkeeper Pat Ryan made eight saves to pitch the shutout.Fenwick 2, Marian 0At Fenwick, Drew Thibodeau (from Ian White) got Fenwick (4-2-2) started in the first half, and Brian Blaisdell (from Chris Poirer) scored the Crusaders’ second goalRevere 4, Winthrop 0At Winthrop, Mohamed Kenawy had a hat trick for the Patriots (2-3-1, 2-1 Northeastern Conference) with Qais Ghulan adding the other goal. Tarik Maddrey have a half dozen saves for the shutout.Tech 10, Minuteman 0At Manning Field, Francisco Franco and Emerson Imul each had multiple goals to lead a potent Tech attack. Jose Alas and freshman Tyler Beliveau split the game in net for the Tigers (4-1-2).
