LYNN – Lynn Police Lt. David Brown said Andover Police found the stolen pickup truck that was used in an armed home invasion Friday afternoon in Lynn.Andover Police Lt. John Pathiakis said officers found the truck “tucked in the woods” and still running at around 9 p.m. in Andover.?They?re calling in the State Police and the K9 unit to do a little tracking,” said Pathiakis. “But I have a feeling because of the tremendous rain, he?s not going to be able to track anything.”Pathiakis said he was not aware of any weapons found at the scene, but said the truck is being secured for Lynn Police to investigate.Police reports earlier in the day stated four Hispanic males, two armed with handguns and one with a knife, forced their way into the home and fled in a stolen gray 2000 Chevy Silverado pickup truck and headed toward Saugus.Brown declined to give any details about the investigation.?The stolen vehicle was recovered,” said Brown. “The investigation is ongoing.”Two residents of the house where the home invasion took place stood in the driveway of the white, two-story house Friday after the incident, but declined to comment.Tower Avenue is a narrow residential street off of Boston Street.Several neighbors gathered across the street along with three Lynn Police cruisers Friday afternoon, but the neighbors also declined to comment.Matt Tempesta can be reached at [email protected].
