The Falcons’ George Merry won the Northeastern Conference League Meet at Kernwood CC Tuesday afternoon.Merry shot a 78 to win the NEC meet by one shot over Cam Norton (Saugus) and Patrick Brogan (Winthrop), who shot a 79. Swampscott’s Trevor Massey finished tied for third with Salem’s Tim Richmond (80). Massey was very pleased with his performance.”My drives were a little iffy today but the rest of my game was pretty strong,” Massey said. “The greens were fast and it was very windy for the first nine holes.”Once I got used to the greens and the wind died down, I was able to shoot six shots better in the back to give myself a chance to win.
