SALEM – A Superior Court judge continued the same $5,000 bail for a Lynn man police say was dealing cocaine again in Lynn last summer.Shawn Davis, 26, of 1 Breed Terrace, #2, Lynn, remains free on bail after being arraigned Wednesday morning in Salem Superior Court.He pleaded innocent to a single charge of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, subsequent offense, a crime that may net him a mandatory five years in state prison.Judge Timothy Q. Feeley agreed to adopt the same bail amount previously set in Lynn District Court at the joint recommendation of Assistant District Attorney Marcia H. Slingerland and defense lawyer Alice Jayne.On June 19, Lynn police officers stopped Davis at the corner of Alice Avenue and Essex Street for violating the open container law after observing him with a can of beer.During a pat frisk police said they seized eight bags of crack cocaine from his person.Davis was previously convicted of narcotics distribution in 2008 out of Lynn District Court. He is due back in court on Dec. 9 for a pretrial hearing.
