SALEM – A Superior Court judge continued the $100,000 cash bail for a Lynn man police say they caught peddling an unlicensed rifle to an undercover officer in 2009.At his arraignment Wednesday in Salem Superior Court, Samoeurn Soeuy, 22, of 37 Park St., #5, Lynn, pleaded innocent to charges of possession of a large capacity weapon, illegal possession of ammunition and possession of an unlicensed sale of a firearm before Judge Timothy Q. Feeley, who agreed to adopt the same bail amount as set earlier in Lynn District Court at the recommendation of the prosecutor and defense.The charges arise out of an incident in Lynn at about 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 17, 2009 when Soeuy allegedly sold a SKS semi-automatic rifle with ammunition to an undercover officer for $600 at 13? Lowell St.Soeuy was not arrested at that time. A warrant was later issued for his arrest.His next scheduled court date is set down for Nov. 22 and, in the meantime, he remains held at the Middleton Jail.Assistant District Attorney Jessica M. Strasnick is prosecuting the case and Michael T. Phelan is his attorney.Soeuy also is currently serving a House of Corrections sentence on unrelated crimes.
