SAUGUS – A Saugus man who went missing with his 86-year-old mother will be brought back to town today after he was arrested in Laconia, N.H. on Tuesday, said Det. Lt. Ronald Giorgetti.Giorgetti said Jeffrey Azarva, of 55 Saville St., waved his extradition rights during his arraignment in Laconia District Court on Wednesday.?I have officers from our department making arrangements possibly to go up and take custody of him and bring him back to the commonwealth (Thursday),” said Giorgetti.Giorgetti said he may be held overnight pending a bail review and could be arraigned in Lynn District Court on Friday on an outstanding warrant for elder abuse.Giorgetti declined to say what that charge stemmed from, saying it was an “open investigation.”Azarva?s mother, Rosalyn, was first reported missing on Oct. 20 when Greater Lynn Senior Services went to her home to serve a protective order for her to undergo an evaluation at a hospital for health reasons.Police arrested Azarva Tuesday night at a mental health clinic in Laconia after a nurse there grew suspicious and called police.Azarva?s mother was taken to a hospital in New Hampshire Tuesday night to be evaluated.
