SALEM – A former Marblehead man charged with rape and photographing his female friend nude and unconscious, then allegedly posting the photos on a fake Facebook page reportedly under her name, remains free on $1,000 cash bail after pleading innocent.Reid Jones, 41, 156 Front St., Exeter, N.H., appeared Wednesday for his arraignment in Salem Superior Court, pleading innocent to rape, indecent assault and battery on a person over age 14, identity fraud and photographing a partially nude person.Judge Timothy Q. Feeley agreed to set the $1,000 cash bail set earlier in Lynn District Court at the joint recommendation of Assistant District Attorney Kate B. MacDougall and defense lawyer Will Korman.MacDougall also told Feeley that she would ask that Jones surrender his passport at the next court date if he keeps posting on Facebook that he is in France, but said she was not asking for it at this time. The charges arise out of incidents between Aug. 1, 2010 and September 2010 when Jones allegedly took photos of his then-30-year-old female friend in Marblehead at his home while she was unaware and then, after the friendship ended, allegedly posting them on Facebook using a fake page he created under her name. The female friend was told about the Facebook page by a friend and then went to police. It was also revealed during the investigation that the victim had allegedly been raped.Jones is scheduled to be back in court on Nov. 30 for a pretrial conference.
