SALEM – A Lynn man police say burglarized a home in Swampscott in May and pawned stolen goods in Lynn from three home invasions was indicted Wednesday afternoon by an Essex County grand jury.Frank Anastosopoulos, 38, of 50 Warren St., Lynn, is charged with three counts of buying and receiving stolen property over $250 as well as a single count of breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony.The charges arise after Lynn police began monitoring pawn shop sheets in the local area and observed multiple transactions by the accused beginning in April and May that included assorted jewelry and a Bulova watch.Following further investigation, police sought charges against Anastosopoulos.Then, on May 10, Anastosopoulos is accused of burglarizing a home on Tupelo Road in Swampscott.Anastosopoulos has a prior criminal record including armed robbery.Assistant District Attorney Michael Patten is assigned to prosecute the case.Indictments are a legal process that allows a case to be transferred from District Court to Superior Court allowing for a more severe punishment. It is not an indication of guilt.
