SALEM – A Lynn man who admitted peddling cocaine last year was sentenced to 2? years in the House of Corrections.Jose R. Peralta, 52, of 22 Warren St., #21, pleaded guilty in Salem Superior Court to a charge of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine before Judge David A. Lowy, who agreed to adopt the recommended sentence offered by the prosecutor and defense.Assistant District Attorney Michael Patten told Lowy that police had received information that Peralta was dealing cocaine from his apartment.Police executed a search warrant at his apartment on the morning of Dec. 6, 2010, where they seized a quantity of cocaine, along with less than one ounce of marijuana and $665 in cash.In addition, police found documentation linking Peralta to the apartment.Peralta was indicted by an Essex County grand jury last January. The judge credited him the 60 days he spent in jail in lieu of bail on the case.
