SAUGUS – Saugus resident Rosalyn Azarva, 86, who went missing for four days last month and was found in New Hampshire, died on Saturday at Union Hospital in Lynn.Azarva, of 55 Saville St., was reported missing on Oct. 20 after police reports say workers from Greater Lynn Senior Services went to serve Azarva?s son Jeffrey, who lived with her, an order of protection for elder caretaker abuse.She was found four days later with her son at a behavioral health clinic in Laconia, N.H. after a nurse there grew suspicious and called police.Azarva?s son was arrested and transported back to Saugus, where he was arraigned in Lynn District Court.Azarva was released on Nov. 1 on personal recognizance after pleading innocent to threat to commit a crime and assault and battery on a person over 60. Conditions for Azarva?s release included home confinement, $10,000 bail, no contact with his mother, a stay-away order from Union Hospital, mental health evaluation and no drug or alcohol use.Azarva declined to comment when reached by phone at his home Wednesday night.Assistant Police Chief Leonard Campanello also declined to comment, but said if there were to be any additional charges as a result of Azarva?s death, it would be handled by the District Attorney?s office.Matt Tempesta can be reached at [email protected].
